1. Purpose and Working Principle of Fast Thermocouple:
The fast thermocouple, a one-time-use device, precisely measures the temperature of molten steel and other high-temperature molten metals. Utilizing the foundational thermoelectric effect of metals, it operates by detecting temperature disparities between its two terminals, ensuring accurate and reliable readings.

3. Structure
The fast thermocouple's design revolves around its key components: a temperature measuring probe encased in a large paper tube. The probe contains positive and negative wires welded to an extension wire, which is embedded within a support bracket and sheathed by a small paper tube. For enhanced durability, the thermocouple wires receive support and protection from quartz. A protective cap shields the probe from dregs. These elements are integrated into a thermocouple tip and securely bonded with fire-resistant filler, making each unit disposable and efficient.
4. Usage
1. Choose the appropriate length for the protective paper tube and thermocouple lance based on the measurement object and scope to ensure precision.
2. Secure the fast thermocouple onto the lance, ensuring the secondary instrument's pointer (or digital display) resets to zero before commencing measurement.
3. For optimal results, insert the fast thermocouple into the molten steel to a depth of 300-400mm, avoiding contact with the furnace wall or any slag. Withdraw the temperature measuring gun immediately once the secondary instrument displays the data. The thermocouple's immersion in the molten steel should not exceed 5 seconds to prevent damage to the lance.
4. Replace the used thermocouple with a new one and allow a brief pause to prepare for subsequent measurements.
