3. Structure
The Fast Thermocouple boasts a robust structure, primarily comprising a precise temperature measuring probe and a durable, large paper tube. The positive and negative wires of the probe are meticulously welded to an extension wire, securely nestled within a support bracket encased in a smaller paper tube. Quartz provides essential support and protection for the thermo wires. A protective cap ensures the integrity of the probe by shielding it from dregs. All components are skillfully integrated into a thermocouple tip, bonded seamlessly with a fire-resistant filler, ensuring the thermocouple's single-use convenience.
4. Usage
1. Choose the suitable length of the protective paper tube and thermocouple lance based on the measurement's target and scope.
2. Securely attach the fast thermocouple to the thermocouple lance, ensuring the secondary instrument's (or digital display's) pointer is set back to zero, then proceed to initiate the measurement.
3. It is advisable to insert the fast thermocouple into the molten steel at a depth ranging from 300 to 400mm. Avoid contact with the furnace wall or scum. Promptly extract the temperature measuring gun once the secondary instrument displays the results, ensuring the fast thermocouple's immersion time remains under 5 seconds to prevent lance damage.
4. Replace the expended thermocouple with a new one, allowing a brief pause to prepare for the subsequent measurement.
