3. Structural Composition
The fast thermocouple consists primarily of a temperature-sensitive probe and a robust paper tube. The probe's positive and negative wires are seamlessly welded to an extension wire, meticulously encased in a supportive bracket with a sleek paper tube. Enveloped and shielded by quartz, the thermo wires ensure durability. A protective cap guards the probe against slag, with all elements carefully integrated into the thermocouple tip, securely bonded with fire-resistant material, rendering the device efficiently disposable.
4. Practical Application
1. Select the correct length of protective paper tube and thermocouple lance tailored to the specific measurement requirements.
2. Secure the fast thermocouple onto the thermocouple lance, ensuring the secondary instrument's pointer (or digital display) resets to zero. Initiate the temperature measurement process.
3. For optimal results, insert the fast thermocouple into the molten steel at a depth between 300-400mm, steering clear of the furnace walls and slag. Promptly retract the temperature measuring gun after obtaining the readings from the secondary instrument. Limit the thermocouple's immersion to under 5 seconds to avoid damaging the lance.
4. Replace the spent thermocouple with a fresh unit, allowing a brief pause before proceeding to the next measurement cycle.
5. Transport and Storage Guidelines
Exercise caution while assembling and disassembling parts. During transportation, maintain the equipment dry. Store the products in cases within warehouses where humidity levels remain below 80%, ensuring good air circulation. Avoid exposure to corrosive gases that could harm the products.
