3. Structure
The Fast Thermocouple showcases a robust structure, prominently featuring a temperature measuring probe and a durable large paper tube. Inside, the precision-engineered positive and negative wires of the probe are expertly welded to an extension wire, elegantly embedded in a support bracket and encased within a small paper tube. These thermo wires are further supported and shielded by resilient quartz, ensuring their longevity and accuracy. To prevent contamination, a protective cap shields the temperature measuring probe from any external dregs. All components are meticulously assembled into a thermocouple tip and bonded together with a fire-resistant filler, forming a cohesive, disposable unit.
4. Usage
1. Select the optimal length of the protective paper tube and thermocouple lance, tailored precisely to the object and scope of your measurement.
2. Affix the Fast Thermocouple securely to the thermocouple lance, ensuring the secondary instrument's pointer (or digital display) resets to zero. You are now ready to begin the measurement process.
3. For best results, it is ideal to immerse the Fast Thermocouple into molten steel at a depth ranging from 300-400mm. Avoid any contact with the furnace wall or scum for accuracy. Once the secondary instrument displays results, swiftly retract the temperature measuring gun. Ensure the Fast Thermocouple's soak time in molten steel remains under 5 seconds to prevent lance damage.
4. After usage, replace the spent thermocouple promptly with a new one, pausing briefly to prepare for your subsequent measurement session.
