3. Structure
The Fast Thermocouple is a marvel of engineering, primarily consisting of a temperature measuring probe paired with a robust paper tube. Ingeniously designed, the positive and negative wires from the probe are skillfully welded to an extension wire nestled within a support bracket, all encased in a protective small paper tube. Ensuring stability and safety, the thermo wires are expertly supported and safeguarded by quartz. To further enhance protection, the probe is shielded by a dreg-resistant cap. All meticulously crafted components are integrated into a singular thermocouple tip and securely bonded with fire-resistant filler, affirming its disposable nature.
4. Usage
1. Select the optimal length for the protective paper tube and thermocouple lance tailored to your measuring objectives and scope.
2. Affix the fast thermocouple to the thermocouple lance, ensuring the secondary instrument's pointer (or digital display) resets to zero before commencing measurement.
3. For optimal accuracy, insert the fast thermocouple into the molten steel to a depth of 300-400mm, avoiding contact with the furnace wall or slag. Once the secondary instrument provides a reading, promptly withdraw the temperature measuring gun. To preserve the integrity of the lance, limit the thermocouple's immersion to less than 5 seconds.
4. Swap out the used thermocouple for a new one and allow a brief interlude before proceeding with subsequent measurements.
